Kinder Scout Rabbit Rock
Route I parked in Edale and walked Grindslow, following the packhorse route. I didn't go right to the top, I walked in front of Grindslow and joined the edge path. I met up with Steve and Simon, and we followed the ancient trail across from Crowden Clough up to Rabbit Rock. Weather The weather was dry, small gusts of wind and temperatures of about ten Degrees. Overnight, the slight wind dropped to virtually nothing. Equipment I fitted some new guylines to the Lanshan, they worked very well but need shortening. I used the clips that I normally put on the doors to clip the inner to the pokes, this cut down the flappiness a lot. I used the wildside adventures set up, tried several times to light the stove, but had to go back to the carbon Speedster stove. I tried to go cup and plate free, but I'm not impressed. New equipment this week included Merrell Storm Strike boots and an Osprey Exos 58L backpack. Summary What a fantastic camp! The weather...
